Swimmers are ALLOWED to use Fins and Snorkels. However, please ensure you are EXPERIENCED with swimming using Fins. Swimming with Fins may cause muscle cramps for beginners or those who have never trained with it.

Not used to open water swimming? Can’t make the date?

No worries! Sign up for the Virtual Swim Challenge and you can still be part of the event in support of our Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

Participants are entitled to event T-shirt, swim cap and finisher medal.

1. Where to swim?
Any pool.

2. When to swim?
Any day, as long as you record your swim between 1 July - 31 August 2023.

3. What is the distance?
Any distance over 2.5km.

4. How much is the fee?
RM100 per person.

6. When to collect the participant kit?

i) 15 Sept @ a location in Kota Kinabalu - TBC - will be announced

ii) 16 Sept @ Prince Philip Park, Tg. Aru Beach
iii) 18 - 22 Sept @ Kinabalu Pink Ribbon office, Wisma Wanita, Level 2
iv) By post (please note POSTAGE/DELIVERY CHARGES TO BE BORNE BY PARTICIPANT)

I hereby agree to abide by the following terms & conditions of Kinabalu Pink Ribbon Open Water Swim 2023 (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will be held at Tanjung Aru, Sabah, Malaysia on 16 September 2023 or the date set by the Organiser.

1. I acknowledge and agree that my participation in the Event is entirely voluntary and at my own risk.
2. I have read, understood and accepted the Rules and Regulations applicable to the Event.
3. I have been made fully aware of, and fully understand and acknowledge the risks involved in my participation in the Event. I accept full responsibility and assume all such risks.
4. I confirm that the representations, warranties and undertakings are true and correct and I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall waive, release, discharge the Organizers from any claim and undertake that I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall not make any claim or complaint whatsoever against the Organizers for any loss or damage or injury sustained by me, or for my death arising from, during or after the Event.
5. I hereby certify that I am sufficiently fit physically to compete in the Event and that I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.
6. I accept that all the judges’ decisions with regards to the Event are final.
7. No person who is not a party to this Waiver shall have any rights to enforce any of the terms therein.

I wish to enter the Event and hereby agree to abide strictly by the above Terms & Conditions. In consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I, my heirs, successors and assignees, do hereby unconditionally waive and release the Organizers, their sponsors, all officials, persons and agencies involved in this Event, from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, expenses and whatsoever, that may arise from my participation, including without limitation, personal injury and death. I also certify that I am physically fit to participate in this Event.
