Challenge Terms & Conditions

Organiser & Eligibility

1. The Innovative Mocktail Competition is organised by Kino Biotech (M) Sdn Bhd and The Vida World Sdn Bhd (“Organiser”) and exclusive to all legal SEGi University/College students only.
2. The following group of persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Challenge:
   • Employees of the Organiser (including its affiliated and related companies) and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses);
     and/or
   • Representatives, employees, servants and/or agents of advertising and/or service providers of the Organiser (including its affiliated and related companies), and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses).
   • Anyone with professional kitchen, catering or cooking experience as it deems could create an unfair advantage, you will not be considered eligible.
   • Anyone that has been charged with and/or convicted of any serious criminal offence.
     
     

Duration

1. The registration period for this Challenge will be from 11 September 2023 at “00:00:01” to 30 September 2023 at “23:59:59” (“Registration & Video Submission Period”).
2. The Organiser shall reserve the right to amend the Video Submission Period at any time without prior notice. All submissions received after the Video Submission Period will be null and void without further notice.
3. The Final Competition & Award Ceremony will be on 12 October 2023 (Thursday) @ SEGi (Kota Damansara) College, Level 2, Culinary Arts Kitchen.
   
   

Submission & Qualifying Criteria

1. To join this competition, participants must satisfy the following criteria:
   • Register as an individual or form a team up to 2 members.
   • Choose to join either Beauty or Slimming category.
   • Pick one product from Kinohimitsu and one product from Vida to join the competition.
   • The costing per drink max to RM12.
   • The participants are required to upload the mocktail beverage recipe that they wish to compete with by posting in their own personal Instagram or TikTok social media account (with video in 16:9 format, 30sec to 1min) by tagging @kinohimitsumy @vidamalaysia and hashtag #KinohimitsuMY, #vidamalaysia and #SEGimocktailcontest with the following:
   • A video no longer than 1 minute to showcase and introduce the mocktail beverage recipe. (access is to set to “Public” for Organiser to view and judge the entry)
   • A high resolution photo of the end product. (in JPEG/JPG file format not exceeding 5MB in size) Caption it with the name of the mocktail beverage and story-tell why this mocktail beverage recipe is creative.
2. The Organiser shall have the right to disqualify and/or reject entries where:
   • the required details in the Entry Form are not provided, incomplete, illegible, unclear, inaccurate; and/or
   • the submission does not follow the guidelines as set out in this terms and conditions and/or the recipes submitted are not original, have been submitted previously, published, won in another challenge/competition and/or used for advertising or promotional purposes.
3. The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet and/or websites.
4. The Organiser will judge the qualified entries and select the top eight (8) teams from Beauty and Slimming category as Finalists to compete in a live final mocktail competition (“Final Competition”). The champion will be decided in the Finale Challenge stage.
   
   

The Final Competition

1. Participants are given a maximum time limit of 30 minutes to complete the Final Competition.
2. 2 sets of mocktail beverage will be prepared (1 for beverage tasting and 1 for beverage display).
3. The Champion will be awarded RM500 + Kinohimitsu & Vida Hampers.
   
   

Liability & Responsibility

1. Participants and their heirs shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, damage, claim or accidents (including death) resulting from their participation in the Competition, redemption and/or utilisation of the prize and agree to release and hold the Organiser free and harmless of any liability.
2. All transportation, accommodation, personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses that are incurred to participate in the Competition, to attend the Final Competition and to redeem the prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.
   
   

Rights of the Organiser

1. The Organiser reserves the absolute right to use the names and/or videos and/or photographs of the winners, the submitted entry caption, recipes/food and their prizes as materials for the purposes of advertising, trade and/or publicity, without any prior notice to the winners and the winners shall not be entitled to claim ownership and/or other forms of compensation on the materials.
2. The Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Competition in the event it becomes not possible for the Organiser to run the Competition as planned including but not limited to unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Organiser, despite the best efforts of the Organiser.
3. The Organiser reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant that is found or suspected of tampering with the Competition submission process or the operation of the Competition and the Organiser reserves the right to pursue legal action against any individual it believes has undertaken fraudulent activities or other activities harmful to the Competition.
   
   

Terms & Conditions

1. The Organiser’s and judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence or appeals thereon will be entertained.
2. By entering this Competition, the participants agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions of the Competition and the decisions of the Organisers and judges.
