Details

The Penang Arts Council was founded in the 1950s and organised dozens of concerts, operas and art exhibitions until it went dormant in 2005. It was relaunched at the beginning of the year to help promote the arts in Penang, which are suffering as never before because of the pandemic. This first concert features some of the best singers and musicians in Penang performing solo repertoire, as for much of CMCO and MCO 2.0 rehearsing with other musicians was impossible. This is the first of a series of concerts to be held throughout the year.

Featuring: Zhang Chi (piano), Vincent Ong (piano), Lee Chun Howe (oboe), Verena Koay (violin), Joyce Khoo (soprano), Ong Geok Theng (soprano) and Chaing Yi Ling (mezzo-soprano).
