2018 Mind Run & Carnival

Run for mental health literacy! The aim of this event is to bring community together to work together to give people with mental health a new voice and abolish stigma.

What is mental health literacy and why is it important?

Mental health literacy refers to the understanding of mental health issues that heavily informs its detection, management and prevention. As such, we strongly believe that better mental health literacy will lead to more effective prevention, earlier detection and better management of mental health issues in our community.

The run will be a night run with 5km and 10km options. The event is held at night as a representation of the darkness that mental illness is often associated with. Each registered runner will receive a complimentary NEON coloured T-Shirts to colour the darkness.

The 2018 Mind Carnival is an event centered on the intention to promote community involvement in raising awareness for mental health. The carnival will be packed to the brim with exciting awareness movements and demonstrations as well as performances from your favourite Malaysian artists. There will also be food trucks and vendors of all sorts to help bring the community together!

So bring your friends and family along to enjoy the event!
